The FEI World Equestrian Games, considered by many to be as significant as the Olympics, are the international championships for equestrianism. Founded in 1921, the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has become the leading international organization of equestrian sports.  As sole administers of the World Equestrian Games, FEI has held this first-class event quadrennially since 1990.  However, this particular year marks an inaugural event for WEG history as the Games make their way out of Europe, to the heart of the bluegrass in Lexington, Kentucky.
